Qatar Airways hopes to begin direct daily Kathmandu- Kuala Lumpur from April, Airline representatives said Friday. The flights will facilitate Nepali workers going to Malaysia who now

take a circuitous route through India.

Qatar Airways, which began Nepal operations in 1996 with once a week flight between Doha and Kathmandu, now flies 11 times week between the two cities.

The Airways is seeking Nepali government approval to expand operations by starting two daily flights every day. The Airways Friday shifted to a new office at Siddhi Bhawan in Kantipath.
