Santi Sandesh Yatra Parivar, a religious organisation, organised ‘peace assembly’ in Koteshwor, Kathamandu, on Saturday.

Some 250 religious gurus and other peace-lovers who participated in the gathering entitled “Prayer for Peace-Peace Meet”, wished for peace in Nepal and across the globe, according to organisers.

Speaking on the occasion, religious gurus representing various religions stressed that peace comes from pure yearning from human heart, not from cruelty and violent revolution.

Dr Anoja Gurukma, Sai Bahini, Ani Chhoing Dolma, secretary of Nepali Jame Mosque Mohammad Ashraf, Dr Chintamani Yogi and delegates from USA and Vietnam jointly wished for world peace, according to the Parivar.
