Kathmandu, Oct.17: A policeman was killed Sunday in an ambush laid by rebel Maoists in Salyan district, and official said. Chote Lal Baniya died in Sitalpati village in the district while another was injured.

A group of Maoists also killed two persons and injured another Sunday night in Chuha village in Kailali district, police said. All three persons were affiliated with the ruling Nepali Congress.
