BESISHAHAR, Oct 18 – The Indian Pension Paying Unit Pokhara has paid the pension amounting to Rs 33 million 300 thousand by organising a 4-day camp in Lamjung under the coordination of Lamjung Ex-Servicemen’s Welfare Organisation.
The pension was paid to 2 thousand 550 ex-servicemen and their family members at the camp which concluded on Monday, Secretary of the Pension Paying Camp Lilijung Gurung told The Kathmandu Post.
This is the fourth time that the camp was organised in Lamjung district to pay pension to the Indian pensioners here, Programme Coordinator Capt. Lal Bahadur Gurung said.
The pensioners told The Kathmandu Post that they were saved the trouble of going out to receive their pension, expenditure to be incurred and the fear of being robbed as a result of this camp.
