PFN strengthens protests against Maoists

KATHMANDU: People’s Front Nepal (PFN), has strengthened protests against Maoists atrocities in different VDCs of the western district of Baglung.

Lilamani Pokharel, Vice chairman of PFN told Nepalnews that the PFN’s women wing have organized weeklong protests beginning from Wednesday against Maoists brutality in the district. “We will organize countrywide protests Maoists on Wednesday,” he informed.

PFN protests follows the Maoist attack Monday on hundreds of PFN members. On Monday night, the Maoists brutally tortured around a half a dozen women cadres of the PFN by piercing their bodies with hand drilling machines.

Earlier, in October, Maoists had attacked PFN cadres including its central vice president Pari Thapa at the Dhorpatan of the district.
