Parliamentary team off to Israel

A six-member parliamentary delegation led by Gehendra Giri, chairman of the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs committee of the House of Representatives left for Israel Monday at the friendly invitation of the government of Israel.

According to the Parliamentary Secretariat, the objective of the visit to Israel by the Nepalese parliamentary delegation is to observe the activities and affairs of Israeli parliament, Knesset. After Israel, the delegation is also to visit Russia.

Other members of the delegation are lawmakers Ram Nath Adhikari, Nara Bahadur Hamal, Sher Dhan Rai, Secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Udya Nepali Shrestha and an official at the Parliamentary secretariat Gyan Prasad Bhattarai.
