NEPSE drops again

Kathmandu, 4 February: The NESPE index which had risen slightly last week fell again by 3.72 points at the end of a five-day trading Friday. Trading opened at 468.1 points Monday and closed at 465.39 points Friday. Altogether 35,622 shares of 40 companies valued at Rs 26.9 million were traded compared to the Rs 48.9 million traded the previous week.

Lumbini Finance Company (LFC) shares were traded for the first time in the week after registration with the stock market, with a top demand of 8,110 shares sold in 481 transactions—shares of unit value Rs 60 sold at Rs 290. Shares of commercial banks were again in high demand averaging 83.24 percent of total trade.
