The ruling Nepali Congress Party Thursday welcomed the fall of Kabul, the Afghan capital, to troops of the Northern Alliance this week. The statement issued by the ruling party also made a scathing attack on the policies of the Taliban that was ousted from Kabul.

The government has supported the international coalition led by the United States and condemned terrorism in all its manifestations.
