The Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) has sent 1000 blankets to the victims of a deadly earthquake that hit Pakistan on October 5.
The NRCS headquarters in Kathmandu said on Saturday that the blankets were sent to Pakistan through the Red Crescent Society [Pakistan]. Two specially trained officials are also leaving for Pakistan to assist in relief activities.
The Red Cross also appealed for individuals as well as organisations for assistance to Pakistani quake victims.
The death toll in the earthquake in the South Asian nation has crossed 30,000 until Saturday.
The Nepal government had last week announced US$50,000 relief aid to the quake-torn Pakistan.
