KATHMANDU: Nepal and India began official fifth round of talks in New Delhi Friday to renew a five-year bilateral trade treaty that expires December 5, reports from the Indian capital said. Nepalese commerce joint secretary Purshottam Ojha will hold talks three days of intensive talks with his Indian counterpart to narrow differences on renewing the treaty.
The officials met last week in Kathmandu. India wants limits on five Nepali exports including vegetable oil to curb what it calls dumping of goods by Nepal; Nepal denies the claims.
Indian and Nepali officials last week discussed value added measures in exports to limit the surge in Nepali exports.
