Nepal was elected vice-president of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) for South Asia, a press release of the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation stated.
The election was held in the 14th General Assembly of WTO, which is being held in Seoul of South Korea, in which a 4-member Nepalese delegation headed by Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Bal Bahadur KC is taking part.
Nepal’s head of the delegation Minister KC was elected to the prestigious post of WTO vice-president for South Asia. The General Assembly also elected Bangladesh president of WTO’s Commission for South Asia.
Nepal and the Maldives were elected vice-presidents of the committee.
