Police fired in the air to control a mob that went on a rampage in Tuslipur, Dang, Sunday forcing the closure of shops after the deaths of two students in a vehicular accident the previous day near the town, police said.

The mob torched a counter selling bus tickets in the town. Police unsuccessfully tried to negotiate a peace between protestors and the bus operators.

A bus overran the students who were bicycling.
