The Nepal Communist Party (United) called for a government inquiry into the murder of founder and president R.K.Budhokhaki in Damak, Jhapa, where 100,000 refugees have been living in UNHCR- administered camps for more than a year awaiting repatriation.
The statement Wednesday said the murder Sunday was “great loss to the democratic movement in Bhutan.” Reports said Ram Subedi, a camp resident, was the alleged assassin; he is at large.
Four refugees have been arrested for investigations.
