Kathmandu, Nov.10: Nepal Battery Company, manufacturer of Eveready battery, has closed down following a protracted dispute between management and unions.The factory is located in Balaju.

The unions had been demanding equal benefits for local and foreign employees. The unions have asked the management to re-consider the closure and negotiate an end to the dispute as livelihood of 74 families are involved.
