The Health Ministry has prepared 15 medical teams to be dispatched to flood-hit Terai districts to control epidemic outbreak.

The Ministry decided to prepare the team and keep it on stand-by fearing the outbreak of diseases in the flood-hit districts. Doctors fear that disease outbreak could strike these areas due to consumption of contaminated water.

Already in Banke and other areas, reports have come out regarding the spread of gastroenteritis and diarrhea.
