Measles, cold claim 24 lives in Humla

At least 24 persons ranging from two to 50 years of age have died of measles and cold in three villages in Humla in the last several weeks, local politicians said.

They have asked for immediate medical assistance to control the diseases in the south of the district. The outbreak of the diseases comes immediately after the onset of winter.
