Maoists killed an activist of the main opposition in parliament after he refused to feed and lodge them at his home in Rolpa recently, the UML said in a news release.
The party did not say when farmer Nim Lal Rokka was killed. The farmer was murdered even as the government and rebels announced a truce to end a bloody communist insurgency that has claimed more than 1,800 lives in nearly six years.
The insurgents have mainly targeted activists of the ruling Nepali Congress Party and the police in their attacks.
