Maoists abduct 150 people

Maoist rebels abducted more than 150 people from the headquarters of the Kalikot district in West Nepal on Monday and Tuesday.

According to Kalikot Red-Cross district committee, trainer of the emergency response teamTej Bahadur Sahi, Nandarishi Acharya, Chakra Bahadur Sahi, Santosh BK and Dan Bahadur BK were abducted.

Similarly, unit president of the Manma Red-Cross, Chatra Bahadur Sahi and other government personnel were also abducted.

Various published reports mentioned members of the International Committee of the Red Cross were among the abducted. The ICRC office in Kathmandu have stated that none of their representatives have been abducted and will issue a statement.
