King Gyanendra Thursday gave a fond farewell to Princess Prearana and Kumar Raj Bahadur Singh at the Narayanhiti Royal Palace after their marriage.

People thronged the roadside cheering and clapping as the groom returned home to Chawani with his bride in a four horse drawn carriage. Crown Prince Paras, Crown Princess Himani and other members of the Royal family also bid farewell to the Princess, the only daughter of the King and Queen Komal.

A royal salute was presented as the Princess got on to the carriage to drive to the groom’s home through the busy streets of Kathmandu.
