Former minister Khum Bahadur Khadka Friday presented himself before the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) which is preparing a fresh case of illegally amassing wealth disproportionate to his income, agency sources said.
The CIAA recorded Khadka’s statement Friday. The CIAA is preparing a fresh charge against Khadka after withdrawing a corruption charge against him for embezzlement of Rs.40.9 million in the Bakhara River Control project.
The Special Kathmandu Court had released Khadka on a bail of Rs.20 million after the CIAA filed charges against him. Khadka had jumped bail.
