Hotelier’s son arrested with more than Rs.20 million in foreign currency

A hotelier’s son was arrested Monday  in possession of illegal foreign currency notes worth more than Rs.20 million near the police headquarters, police said.

Dorje Tshering, 26, is the son of Tenzing Tshering, the managing director of Potala Guest House in the Thamel area. The younger Tshering was nabbed in a vehicle as he was going to a gold trader in Maligaon to deliver the money, police said.

Tsherign was in possession of US dollars, British pounds, French francs, Saudi and Qatar riyals.
