Govt. forms financial reforms task force

The government Tuesday formed a financial reforms task force to study and analyze the present state of the financial sector in the country and present suggestions on reforms needed in the entire sector including the legal arrangements for revenue, the revenue structure, tax rates and revenue administration, RSS reported.

The term of the task force constituted under the convenorship of National Planning Commission member Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada will be for four months from the date of commencement of its work.

According to the Finance Ministry, the six man task force also includes Dr. Rup Jyoti, Dr. Bishwambar Pyakurel, Dr. Bhuvan Bajracharya and Finance Ministry joint secretary Vidhya Dhar Mallik as members and joint comptroller general Rameshwar Khanal as member secretary.

The task force secretariat will be at the Revenue Administration Training Center.
