The government has started shifting the regional directorates under different ministries in the Kathmandu Valley to the Central Region headquarters, Hetauda.
According to Central Region administration office, Hetauda, the regional Livestock Service Directorate has been transferred to Hetauda from Harihar Bhawan, Lalitpur, reports said.
Initiating the work to be carried out by the directorate, central region administrator Rabindra Chakrawarti stressed on the directorate’s role towards making backward farmers of rural areas self-reliant by attracting them to scientific animal husbandry.
Prior to this, Regional Agriculture Directorate, Regional Electricity Authority and Regional Development Bank were established here.
The government has been shifting regional offices of Mid-Western region to Surkhet from Nepalgunj.
