The four facilitators of the Government-Maoist peace talks Thursday held an emergency meeting and decided to analyse firsthand views from both the sides over the ceasefire break, an announcement said.
“The meeting expressed serious concern over the ceasefire call off,” a radio report quoted facilitator Shailendra Kumar Upadhyay as saying. “We will now jointly meet the government side and ask the reason of the ceasefire break.”
“For this, we have taken appointment from Communications Minister Kamal Thapa for Friday,” Upadhyay said.
He further said they would also contact the Maoists, though it will not be possible to meet them directly.
