Doctor escapes bid on life

A doctor working at the Kathmandu Medical College in Sinamangal, Kathmandu, had a narrow escape when two unidentified persons fired shots at him Tuesday morning.

The two assailants coming on a motorcycle opened fire at doctor Bir Bahan SJB Rana in front of the hospital gate at around 10:00 a.m. but missed the target, according to police.

The reason behind the attack is yet to be known. The gunmen instantly fled the scene firing two rounds of bullets

Police said hunt for the assailants is underway.
