The Judicial Council met Wednesday without Krishna Prasad Ghimire to recommend names of justices to the Supreme Court where there are seven vacancies, Council sources said.

The Council is considering recommending the appointments of Senior Advocate Bhupulendra Chakrabarti, advocates Anup Raj Sharma, Prof. Kanak Bikram Thapa, also dean of TU Law Faculty, Harihar Dahal and Prakash Wasti.

The King appoints justices to the apex court on the recommendation of the Council. Judges said work is piling up at the Supreme Court without the seven replacements.
