Auspicious annaprasan of Navayubaraj being observed

The auspicious annaprasan ceremony of Nawayubaraj Hridayendra is being observed at the Narayanhiti Royal Palace Thursday. Thursday has been declared a public holiday to observe the annaprasan (rice feeding ceremony).

The Navayubaraj was born to Crown Prince Paras and Crown Princess Himani as their second child six months ago.

The government freed 43 prisoners of various jails in the Kingdom on the auspicious occasion. The prisoners were amnestied the remainder of their prison terms Wednesday and were set free in accordance with the Constitution of Nepal 1990, it is stated by the Department of Prison Management.
