Nepali Under-17 cricket team beat Brunei by 10 wickets in the U-17 Asia Cup Cricket tournament played in the Malaysian city of Penang Saturday.
Batting first, Brunei lost all wickets in 19.1 overs with a measly total of 34 runs. Nepal chased the target in just 4 overs without losing a single wicket.
Nepali batsmen Deepen Shrestha and Rajan Khadgi mustered unbeaten 18 and 10 runs respectively along with nine extras.
Nirmal Simangaida, who sent four Brunei batsmen back to the pavilion, was declared today’s man of the match.
On Friday, Nepal lost to Afghanistan by 49 runs in the inaugural match in Penang.
