Seven Nepali Maoists including two leaders have been arrested in Patna in the Indian state of Bihar Saturday.

Reports quoting Indian security sources said the Maoists were apprehended in a raid at a Patna hotel this morning. Among those arrested, two have been identified as Rambabu Choudhari and Agendra Parajuli. Choudhari is reportedly a central leader of the Maoist-aligned Madhise Liberation Front while Parajuli is an area commander of the People’s Army.

Important documents have been recovered from the Maoists, reports further said. Indian authorities are yet to contact Nepalese officials regarding the arrest of the Maoists.

A few months ago, Bihar Police had arrested 11 Maoists including two central leaders from Patna who are now facing litigation. nepalnews.com mbk Sept 11 04
