Kathmandu: Media reports last week indicated that the Government, for the first time, is bringing a relief package for the backward Badi community.

The relief package will be executed under the Ministry of Women, Child and Social Welfare, it is said.

The package consists of interest-free loans, imparted training in skills and employment generating opportunities, free education from one to ten grade, sex and health education to increase awareness and also moves are afoot to settle them permanently.
