Nepali authorities are preparing to allow unemployed Nepalis to go to New Zealand and Azerbaijan seeking employment.

According to Nepal Samacharpatra, Azerbaijan and New Zealand have both made requests from the Nepali government for migrant labourers. Azerbaijan requested about 200 Nepali workers while New Zealand requested about 60 workers.

“We are trying to find out the nature of the work that the our people will have to do there,” the daily said quoting Dhurba Kumar Sharma, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Works and Transport.
