New insurance scheme for ex-Indian Gurkhas

A package of four lakhs fifteen thousand rupees in the form of health insurance has been announced for ex-Gurkha soldiers who served in the Indian army, reports from the pension distribution camp in Dharan said.

The facility will be given to those ex-Gurkhas who served in the Indian army and retired on or after March 31. The new pensioners however will not be getting the Rs. 100 that they were drawing in the form of medical allowance prior to the recent announcement. nepalnews.com am Apr 2
