NEPSE index gains over 5 points

The NEPSE index registered an increment of 5.06 points after five days of trade on Friday.

The market opened at 209.49 points Monday and closed at 216.52 points Friday. The transaction of the 139,246 shares was valued at Rs 31.4 million.

The commercial bank group, the largest group at the Nepse floor, registered an increment of 9.85 points, as its index went up to 224.56 from 214.71 over the course of the week.

Similarly, there was significant increase in the number of shares traded of the manufacturing group, the hotel group, finance group and development bank group. However insurance group and other group suffered a decrease in the number of the shares traded.
