Nepal will play Pakistan in the opener football match of the 9th South Asian Federation Games in Islamabad on October 9, agencies reported.
Nepal is in pool “B” with Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Champions Bangladesh, India, Bhutan and Maldives are in group “A”. Nepal was runner-up in the 8th SAF games held in Kathmandu in September/October 1999.
Agha Laiquat Ali, Secretary General of Pakistan Football Federation pulled the draw in Pakistan Tuesday.
