Security forces shot and killed Chandrashwor Mandal, secretary of the ‘people’s government’ of the CPN (Maoist) in Dhanusha district Wednesday evening.

The Directorate of Public Relation (DPR) of the army today said that Mandal was shot dead at Bagchour area when he tried to break a security cordon.

One pistol was recovered from the dead Maoist leader, the DPR statement said.
