Laxmi Bank has been awarded the ‘Best Presented Accounts (BPA) 2003-04’ in the Financial Institutions category, for its presentation of the Annual Report by the Institute of Charted Accountants of Nepal (ICAN).

ICAN, the apex body of accounting professionals has been awarding the BPA to financial and non-financial institutions with the best-presented annual report to encourage Nepalese business sectors to prepare financial statements with a high degree of professionalism and disclosures.

The award is based on points received for disclosures, report presentation, timely issuance of annual report and holding the AGM, and also for maintaining a highest standard of corporate governance.

The function was held on July 30, 2005, and was presented by the Auditor General.

Laxmi Bank’s annual report is now eligible to represent Nepal to compete at the Asian level.
