Kathmandu- Indian Police on Friday filed a case against the Nepali Maoists caught in Indian state of Bihar on Wednesday, according to the Times News Network of India.
“The arrested Maoists have been charged with waging war against their nation,” the report quoted DSP of Patna, RK Dubedi as saying.
A senior SP of Bihar capital NH Khan said all of the arrested Maoists were extremists. “We have been in communication with the Nepal Police and they confirmed that that the eleven are hardcore Maoists. We are also looking for their links in Bihar.”
A team from Nepal left on Saturday for Patna to explore the possibility of extradition. DSP Subodh Ghimire leads the team. The Kathmandu Post, quoting a Maoist source, has said that the arrests in Patna have virtually shattered their network, as out of the 11 Maoists, six were central level leaders.
