Everest commemorative beer

A special limited edition of Everest premium lager beer is being launched at the home of  the 8848 meters world’s tallest peak to commemorate the golden jubilee celebrations of its first conquest.

 

“The special edition of the export  Everest premium lager beer commemorates the conquest of Mount Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa,” Piyush Bahadur Amatya, Chairman of Amatya Enterprises said.

 

Hillary is scheduled to launch the beer in Kathmandu on May 27; Tenzing and Hillary climbed the peak on May 29,1953. The beer, a collector’s item, will be available in available in 650 ml bottles.

 

A label on the bottle will depict the historic photograph of Tenzing with the flags of Nepal, India, UK and UN on top of the world.
