KATHMANDU: At least eight persons have died of diarrhea in three VDCs in Achham within a week while hundreds others have been affected.

According to reports, Sodasha, Nuwaghar and Lungra VDCs are the worst affected areas. Four persons including two children in Nuwaghar and two each in Lungra and Sodasha have died.

Though the District Health Office claims to have supplied medicine to the area, the disease is still out of control, reports added.
