Colonel of Nepal Army (NA) Madan Bahadur Khatri has resigned over a traffic accident he had caused.

According to spokesperson of NA, Ananta Bahadur Thebe, the colonel had resigned stating that it would be “morally wrong” to continue in his post after his vehicle struck three taxis in Minbhawan last Wednesday.

Khatri has already handed Rs 48,000 as compensation to the taxi owners for the damages incurred.
