The Nepal Education Republic Forum (NERF) has agreed to unlock the padlock of District Education Offices (DEOs) from Friday.

The NERF agreed to unlock the padlock after they agreed to effectively implement all past agreements between government and the teachers body and resolve other educational problems through talks.

Krishna Prasad Kapri, member-secretary of the government talks team, said, “Educational demands will be addressed by the Education Ministry’s talks team headed by Sushil Pandey, director of the Regional Education Directorate. Political issues will be solved at the political level.”

The NERF locked out all District education offices from Wednesday to press the government to meet its seven-point demand. The NERF has been demanding implementation of all agreements reached between the government and the teachers’ bodies, formation of an interim government at the earliest and announcement of the date for CA polls.
