With the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations entering its fourth day, reports regarding irregularities at the exam centers have been hitting the news headlines.

According to a news report published in the Gorkhapatra daily, police personnel deployed for security at the Banepa based Siddhartha Boarding School were involved in helping the students cheat in the Mathematics paper.

Some people who had come with the police helped the students to solve the problems for nearly an hour, the Kavre based correspondent of the daily reported.

According to the Superintendent of the Center Gyan Bahadur K.C., a group of policemen under the leadership of a police inspector brought three college students of the Dipendra Police School. The senior students were then instructed to teach the juniors of the same school who were doing the exams.

Similar cases of violation of rules and cheating during the exams have been reported form many other districts of the Kingdom. Four invigilators in Siraha were expelled on the second day of the exam.
