KATHMANDU: Party cadres of the five-party-alliance burnt effigies of their own senior leaders in Udaypur district on Tuesday.
According to a radio report, the students protested against ‘regression’ and accused the leaders of allowing petty differences fragment the alliance.
In the meantime, despite a growing rift between NC and CPN-UML, there have been no let up in protests against ‘regression’ in Ratna Park. On Tuesday, the parties took out a rally through the main streets of Kathmandu, chanting slogans for “the restoration of democratic rights”.
