All secretaries working in Lamjung district resigned en masse on Sunday citing security reasons, reports said.

According to reports, the secretaries collectively handed their resignation to the Local Development Officer and board chairman of the District Development Committee.

The Maoist people’s government chief of the district accused them of not working in the VDC properly and warned them to resign.

Following the resignation, all works such as verification of relations, recommendation for citizenship, details of the elderly allowance, marriage registration, birth and death registration among others have been completely affected creating a lot of inconvenience for locals.
