All should cooperate for early elections: King Gyanendra

King Gyanendra on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, the greatest festival of the Hindus said may “Durga Bhawani” give strength and encouragement to all Nepali’s to devote themselves in the task of nation building by realizing their duties and responsibilities towards their nation.

In a message given to the countrymen on the occasion of “Vijaya Dashami”, the King has extended his best wishes to all Nepalese at home and abroad for their happiness, good health and prosperity.

He said in the message, the new government has been formed to ensure good governance and a rule of law in the country and above all to restore peace and security to hold the elections to the House of Representatives at the earliest possible.

He also expressed the belief that the new council of ministers will muster the support and cooperation of the people to carry out its responsibilities.

The King said the need of the hour is to create an environment where individual Nepalese can reap the benefits of democracy and strive ahead for the making of a developed and prosperous Nepal. He further said that to accomplish the above goals it is imperative that mutual trust and understanding be forged among all Nepalese.

The King stated that “Vijaya Dashami”, the greatest festival of the HIndus has always established the undeniable proof that “Truth and Justice always win over other evils” and it is the responsibility of all Nepalese to live by upholding these ideals.
