Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand Wednesday called on all the political parties to extend their cooperation in restoring peace and security to hold the elections to the House of Representatives at the earliest possible.
Prime Minister Chand said he did not have any immediate plans to expand his nine-member cabinet. Chand was addressing a gathering of RPP party workers and leaders at a reception organized at his official residence in Baluwatar Wednesday.
Vice President of the party Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani said the Rastriya Prajatantra Party would extend its cooperation to Chand. Party president Surya Bahadur Thapa however did not attend the tea
reception.
Thapa has been showing his differences with Chand for accepting the post of Prime Minister without consulting the party.
Central members of the party Biswa Bandu Thapa said Chand at the moment had a greater responsibility towards the nation than to his political parties.
Central members Jogmehar Shrestha, Rabindra Nath Sharma, party spokesman Kamal Thapa and treasurer Parsu Narayan Chaudhary wished success to Prime Minister Chand. nepalnews.com am Oct 17
