Thirteen persons were killed and 29 others injured when a passenger bus heading towards Mahendranagar from Baitadi met with an accident at Tokhang VDC of Baitadi district, Sunday evening, reports Monday said.

According to state run Radio Nepal, the Mahakali Travels bus skidded 400 meters off the road at around 5.30 p.m., killing 12 passengers on the spot. Another passenger died while undergoing treatment. None of the dead passengers have been identified so far (10 a.m. Monday).

The injured are under going treatment at a hospital in Dadeldhura. The condition of the 12 injured passengers is critical, the radio report said.
