Vitamin A capsules and de-worming tablets will be administered to children between six months and five years of age throughout the country on October 19 and 20.

In a statement, Nepali Technical Assistance Group (NTAG) said around 3.7 million children aged between six months and five years would be given Vitamin A capsules, while around 2.9 million children aged between one and five years would be given de-worming tablets as part of the National Vitamin A Programme.

Around 48,000 women health volunteers will be mobilised to administer medicines in all 75 districts through the District Health Offices, health posts and sub-health posts.
