An eight-member delegation headed by Zhang Chongyin, Secretary General of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China arrived in Kathmandu Thursday for a weeklong goodwill visit at the invitation of the Nepal Council of World Affairs, a press statement said.
Secretary General of the Council Himalaya Kumar Singh received the delegation at the airport. The delegates will call on Minister for Foreign Affairs, Narendra Bikram Shah and Minister for Tourism Culture and Civil Aviation Kuber Prasad Sharma during the visit.
They will interact with the executive members of the Nepal Council of World Affairs besides meeting the concerned authorities of the Institute of Foreign Affairs, FNCCI and Chairman of the China Study Center.
The delegates will also visit Pokhara. They will hold talks with the officials of the Nepal Cultural Corporation, National News Agency and Nepal Television. They will depart from Kathmandu on December 12.
The visit is expected to strengthen the goodwill and traditional friendship between Nepal and Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
