Nepal and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) recently signed an amendment adding $60 million to the strategic objective agreement for reduced fertility and protected health of Nepali families, an announcement said.

The amendment brings the total estimated USAID contribution for the health programme to $110 million. The agreement which was first signed in 1996 has been extended for five years to 2006.
